Heritage Village Events
Enjoy your walk across the Covered
Bridge to the Heritage Village.
Step back in time, tour the Chapel
and old log cabins which date from the 1800's. The 18th, 43rd and 53rd Georgia Volunteer Battalions and Cobb's Legion Civil War Re-enactors will be camped at the Village over the weekend with activities, drills and skirmishes. Joey Young, Chaplain of the Georgia Volunteer Battalion, will conduct church services at 1:00 p.m. on Sunday in the miles Wilson Matthews Chapel.
Adults can view demonstrations including basket weaving, soap making and our blacksmith will be working at his forge. There will be quilting, a biographical video and a wonderful Arrowhead and Artifacts Collection in the Freeman Cabin. Sound good?
